On Thursday, luxury watchmaker
Shinola celebrated the release of its latest collection, inspired by the late Detroit hip-hop beatmaker J Dilla, at its Detroit flagship store. The line includes two limited-edition watches and a leather bag for carrying vinyl LPs. Among those in attendance were Dilla’s daughters Ty’Monae Whitlow and Ja’Mya Yancey, and DJ House Shoes was on hand spinning from Dilla’s catalog.
