‘Tricknology’ artist talk

Kresge arts fellow Ben Hall combines his dual passions of sculpture and composing with Tricknology, which has a joint closing reception, artist talk, and gallery tour on Saturday. The exhibition features Hall’s Rube Goldberg-esque noise-making sculptural works, which fill the space with sound. When we stopped by to visit art critic Lori Waxman while was working on her “60 wrd/min art critic” critiques, a large wind chime created an otherworldly — but inspiring — drone. “I usually wear earplugs when I write,” Waxman told us. “But I loved the white noise. I never had to use them.”
