Transfigurement: Susanne Stephenson

Pewabic welcomes you to the opening reception of this retrospective exhibition that explores six decades of work by internationally renowned artist and educator Susanne Stephenson, 5-8:30 PM March 9. Strongly influenced by her extensive travels throughout the United States and Asia, Ann Arbor-based Stephenson applies colored ceramic slips and engobes to create gestural abstracted landscapes on bowls, plates, vases and other vessels. Also, join Stephenson on a gallery tour, followed by a pop-up of her smaller work and functional ware, 1-4 PM, April 22. Transfigurement runs through May 13.
