“Title Goes Here” opening reception

Inspired by Michigan’s maritime history, artist Leo Kuschel has been painting abstract works for the past 60 years. Now, a collection of his works will be shown inside Wyandotte’s River’s Edge Gallery in a new show called, “Title Goes Here.” According to a press release, the show’s name comes from Kuschel’s ever-changing artistic direction. Though his path may be hard to pin down, his style is clearly influenced by realism, abstract, and impressionism and his paintings have been collected by folks as famous as Vincent Price. Former President George H. W. Bush commissioned him to create a painting that hung in the Oval Office throughout his presidency. This exhibit will also feature sculpted works by Kuschel’s grandson, Will Cooper.
