The incinerator is closing — what does that mean for us?
Jay Jurma
In March, the City of Detroit and Detroit Renewable Energy announced the controversial (and stinky) garbage incinerator would be shut down by the summer. Wayne State’s Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors will host a free event at the Detroit Public Library to talk about how Detroit’s air quality might change now that the incinerator is closing. Lunch will be provided.
