The Gryphon Trio
One of the world’s pre-eminent piano trios, with a repertoire that ranges from traditional European classicism to modern-day multimedia, the Gryphons are committed to redefining chamber music for the 21st century. In this program, they explore Eastern European gypsy and folk traditions in classical music over three centuries. This program will include Haydn: Trio in Gmajor, Hob. XV:25, “Gypsy Rondo;” Arno Babajanian: Trio in F-sharp minor; Dvorák: Trio in E minor, Op. 90, “Dumky.”
