Detroit has long held the title of Rock City, but lesser known to the masses is its reputation for street style and innovative fashion. The folks behind the Fashion Massacre collective have been hip to this for quite some time. Founded in 2009 by Tyna “Fance” Logan, the Fashion Massacre has been committed to putting emerging designers in the spotlight with annual fashion presentations as well as providing tools to better build the designers’ business and craft. To celebrate 10 years, Fashion Massacre has enlisted more than 20 designers from metro Detroit and beyond to showcase their individual perspectives. This year includes work from Donovan Dewberry, Max Marie, and Project Runway season 16 contestant Sirgarade Karidza.
