That old adage that you can’t judge a group by looking at their record cover or photos of them? That’s malarkey; you can tell a lot just from one promo photo. Take the Armed, for instance: They each look like they are in different kinds of bands. This is a most fortuitous sign. It means they are individuals, not poseurs, and you should watch out because they might be absolutely nuts. The Armed celebrates the release of their debut record with Child Bite and Reverend opening up. Recorded by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, the album is one relentless, intense blast after another. They’re probably going to be famous.
