Subliminal Messages by Christopher Batten

Though not technically a gallery per se, Cass Café is one of our favorite places to take in local art in the city. The restaurant and bar routinely hosts great art from some big names in the scene on its walls — we hear their waiting list is months long. Their latest exhibition features paintings from Detroit artist Batten, whose brightly colored works have also been featured at the Charles H. Wright Museum and the Red Bull House of Art. (Plus, it turns out art pairs really well with a lentil burger and a cold one).
