The Clarkston Village Players Presents “Simpatico” by Sam Shepard. One of Shepard’s lighter dramas, the shady past and delicate present collide in this tale of con artists, blackmail and thoroughbred horse racing. Lyle and Rosie are successful racing horse breeders in Kentucky, and Vinnie is an alcoholic holed up in Southern California. The three pulled off a scam together twenty years ago, which comes to a head when one of the conspirators decides it’s time to come clean. Memories fade along with old loyalties as revenge and restitution take priority.
