SCRAP

SCRAP, a new community arts event, is all about repurposing industrial scrap into revolving, kinetic sculptures. On September 13, Midtown is reminded of the importance of metal working as a trade and as an artistic hobby. SCRAP has curated 4 teams of welders who will construct and weld sculptures from scrap materials. There will also be live music, interactive art installation, flame effect and live performances. Plus, each sculpture will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will go to the welder's choice of a local non-profit.
