A film for all hardcore hardcore fans, Salad Days is a documentary film that recounts the thriving DIY punk scene between 1980 and 1990 that spawned seminal bands like Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Government Issue, Scream, Void, Rites of Spring, and Fugazi. Anti-Reagan sentiments, straight-edge living, and plenty of stage diving litter the mostly black and white footage, reminding us of what punk really means. MOCAD screens this gem in partnership with Café 78 as part of a new film series.
