Run of the Dead 5K/10K

The Southwest Detroit Business Association will host the 2015 “Run of the Dead” 5K/10K. The USATF-Certified event, takes competitors through two historic cemeteries, celebrating the Mexican holiday of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) that honors deceased loved ones. The run features awards for top male and female finishers by age categories, swag bags and a variety of live entertainment throughout the racecourse. A special memorial tribute will take place in commemoration of the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration. Participants are welcome to wear traditional face-paint and attire. Halloween and non-traditional costumes are not encouraged.
