Rib Fest

Goober & The Peas
This Fourth of July weekend, Metro Times is putting on a weekend of delicious food and fantastic bands. Rib Fest at the Royal Oak Farmers Market will have several great barbecue vendors as well as activities for the whole family like karaoke, bounce houses, monster truck rides, and pig races. Don’t think it’ll be a dry event, either. There will be a full bar complete with craft beer, liquor, and cocktails. A huge list of beloved and talented local Detroit bands will soundtrack the event, including cult favorites like Goober & the Peas, veterans of soul like Thornetta Davis, and young up-and-comers like Stereo Jane. Howling Diablos, the Infatuations, the Beggars, the Muggs, Pato Margetic, and more are also on the bill. Whenever you decide to stop by, whether you’re hungry for food, good music, or just plain fun, there’s sure to be something to interest you.
