Sunbathing Animal
What’s Your Rupture

Sunbathing Animal is your typical punk album, though created with some aptitude, and pristine production values. Lightning fast drums and crunchy guitars are matched by monotone vocals that’d make a Susan Boyle fan cringe. The album’s title track is easily the most fun, featuring rapid-fire lyrics and a melodic chorus that screams to be two-stepped to. “She’s Rolling” and “Instant Disassembly” are a little lengthy at six-and-a-half and seven minutes, respectively — the former delving into shoegazing territory, becoming hypnotic through the chorus, and the latter offering a warm and summery 1950s feel, rounding out the album’s offerings.
