A panel of prominent Michigan leaders will engage in a webinar conversation “Racism: Public Health Crisis in BIPOC Communities” on Monday, November 16, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
The free event, sponsored by Women Confronting Racism, will explore the intersection of race, racism, and health disparities in the state of Michigan. Senator Debbie Stabenow will open the discussion with observations regarding racism as a public health crisis. Panelists Dr. Kent Key, Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine; Justin Onwenu, Sierra Club of Detroit; and Tawana Nettles-Robinson, Trinity Health’s Executive Director of Medical Services for Detroit will consider intersections listed above.
