Pumpkin Composting

The Titan Equity Nourish Network at Detroit Mercy (TENN) and Midtown Composting & Recycling invite you to bring leftover pumpkins to the University's main campus. Every year, the majority of the over 1.3 billion pumpkins produced for Halloween end up in landfills, producing harmful greenhouse gases. Composting provides a more sustainable way to dispose these pumpkins. Guests can enter the event via the event gate near Fairfield off of McNichols or enter the main gate off McNichols and proceed to the parking lot to the left of the entrance. Fresh cider will be available for a suggested donation to TENN.
