Memorial Holiday weekend will sizzle with hot salsa and cool blues in Detroit's Palmer Woods. Bill Meyer’s Soneo Latin Jazz performs with an all-star nine-piece Afro-Caribbean lineup on Saturday, May 28, and Detroit’s Blues Queen Thornetta Davis and her Rockin’ Funky Blues Band kicks out her wild and "Honest Women" tunes on Sunday, May 29. Dinners included. Concerts held in the garden of a unique home designed by legendary architect Minoru Yamasaki. Yamasaki historians Prof. Dale Gyure and John Gallagher will share insights. Each month, Jazz, Classical and World Music concerts continue at different homes/gardens. Tickets sold in advance only.
