Teaching the youth about how to create apps and be creative with technology can give them a real advantage in the booming technology industry. Now, a Michigan Science Center program, The STEMinista Project, helps girls grades 4 through 8 develop their knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. The Overnight Hackathon is a girls-only sleepover at the Science Center with lessons in creating apps and pitching them to potential clients.
