Nufonia Must Fall

Nufonia Must Fall is a graphic novel created by scratch DJ and producer Kid Koala. Koala wrote a soundtrack to the graphic novel and teamed up with filmmaker/puppeteer K.K. Barrett to turn the thing into a silent film. Tonight, as you watch the film, Kid Koala and the Cecilia Quartet provide the live score on strings, piano, and, of course, turntables. Kid Koala has toured and worked with bands like Radiohead and Arcade Fire, and K.K. Barrett has contributed to films like Her and Where the Wild Things Are. The film tells the story of a cute little robot who falls in love with a human girl. It’s a classic happy love story with a special live twist.
