Nigel & the Dropout

They just killed it at Metro Times Blowout the other week. But if you missed that, you owe it to yourself to catch them right here, right now. And this is a release show for their fifth album, Folderol. We previously compared them to the Happy Mondays, and wrote “loops aplenty from this Detroit-based duo, though there’s a real Brit-pop feel in there too.” But they’re really their own thing. Their judicious use of guitars helps to create a great sound that is far from retro.
