MUSICIANS FOR MICHAEL G. NASTOS BIRTHDAY PARTY

Jazz friends of Michael G. Nastos, radio broadcaster, journalist and promoter will convene to celebrate his birthdate. The Paul VornHagen Trio with VornHagen on woodwinds, Tony Viviano-piano and Pat Prouty-bass will open with a set of originals, followed by vintage jazz solo piano from Jerry "The Wolverine" Perrine, and a blow out jam session with tributes to John & Alice Coltrane, Perry Robinson, John Sinclair and Thelonious Monk on opening day of MLB Baseball season, Roisin Murphy, Sun Ra, South African highlife jazz, and tributes to Morris Lawrence Jr., Tad Weed & James Dapogny. Participants scheduled include: Ken Kozora, Tim Flood, Bob Sweet, Emma Aboukasm, John Churchville, Alberto Nacif, Aron Kaufman, Carl Michel, Chas Dayringer, Reggie Canty, Mark Lipson, Ralph McKee and others to be announced.
