It’s nearly impossible to try and put Migguel Anggelo into a box or peg him as any one thing. The Venezuelan-born artist is best known for his barrier-breaking multicultural and multilingual theatrical music performances, which Aggelo started as early as age 13 when he scored the role of Pinocchio in a South American tour of the Broadway musical. Classically trained in schools throughout the world in music, dance, and theatre, Anggelo is a whirling dervish of disciplines and worldly narratives. His latest program, So Close: Love & Hate, is a song cycle that features everything from Latin classics to Broadway, and even Bjork.
