22 years ago this week in Metro Times... Greg Kaza covers how a judge ruled in opposition to a joint operating agreement between the Detroit News and the Free Press, saying that the Free Press was far from failing despite losing nearly $75 million in the previous seven years. Kaza offers this potential headline for the Freep: "Goodbye, Detroit?" How times change. What was happening: Blue Oyster Cult (more cowbell!) at Harpo's.
