The Detroit Atlas is a printmaking, mapmaking, and bookbinding collaborative project based on workshops like this, funded by a Knight Foundation. There will be monoprinting, relief printing, and letterpress printing activities for everyone who attends! All of these printmaking workshops will be based on the prompt of personal mapmaking, particularly intended for Detroit residents making maps of Detroit. There will be a suggested donation for printing activities, and more information about the longterm project (also available at www.patronicity.com/detroitatlas)! Artwork old, new, and in progress by the artists of Riopelle will also be on display.
