London Wainwright III

Loudon Wainwright III, or LW3 for short, is a cherished icon of American folk music, a darkly witty and touchingly personal songwriter and storyteller. He started out in the folk clubs of New York and Boston before going on to a long career that's encompassed both music and acting. He has given birth to over 20 albums (as well as fathering some very successful musical offspring), written folk classics including "Dead Skunk" and "The Man Who Couldn't Cry," and created music for film and theater. Loudon comes to Michigan with a new book, On Parents & Children, Exes & Excess, Death & Decay, & a Few of My Other Favorite Things. Songwriter Lucy Wainwright Roche, the daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and Suzzy Roche, opens the show.
