Light Up Beacon Park

courtesy photo.
Detroit’s newest park is going to get lit! In conjunction with the 14th Annual Detroit Tree lighting ceremony, Beacon Park makes history by expanding the event to two parks for the first time. The event will feature two live shows by blues queen Thornetta Davis, interactive light installations, a fire pit, and selfies with Santa. Throw in craft beer and we’re in (yes, they’ll have that, too). With free shuttles running between Beacon Park and Campus Martius until midnight, there’s no excuse not to jingle all the way downtown.
