I read Ann Mullen’s article about Geoff Gowman and the Alger Theatre ("Reel activism," Metro Times, Sept 4-10).

Thanks for doing that story. I was not familiar with him or the theatre. but am now.

I live in Southfield but have a greater appreciation for the city now.

I think what his group is doing is wonderful and has a very worthwhile purpose which included many good features.
