Led Kaapana, Mike Kaawa

If you’ve never seen a performance of authentic slack key guitar in the Hawaiian style, are you in for a treat. Kaapana is an NEA National Heritage Fellow and one of the top five slack key players alive. Kaawa plays a killer 12-string guitar, and even though he describes his music as “Hawaiian with attitude” he is totally worth showing up early to make sure you do not miss his musical workouts.
