“The only band I’d ever played with before I joined the Von Bondies was Ghost City (with Chris Tate and Stephen Palmer) — it only lasted a year or so — our last show was actually our CD release party. Then I joined the Von Bondies and I was such a newbie. I’m 30 and I’m still only just coming into what I feel is me. Of course, playing with Amy is really fun. There’s an element of always being fabulous no matter what. After Dark is dark and melodic too, and that’s fun. How will I balance three bands? We’ll find out. The Valentines hasn’t been as busy as we have been in the past, so we’ll see what happens. I’ve become that guy.”
