Junior Naturalist Club

Enrich your child’s natural curiosity and encourage them to explore nature! Children will discover a different topic each month and gain an understanding of the natural world and their important role in helping to protect it. They will also get to touch, smell, see, and hear all there is to experience in the outdoors. Your child will earn a key chain badge for each class they attend; after earning three badges, they’ll get a prize! Upcoming themes include: September 14 Water Wonders October 12 Outdoor Skills November 9 Animal Architects December 14 Evergreens The Junior Naturalist Club meets from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for ages 5 to 11. The program is designed as a drop-off class. Please dress your child for the weather and exploring outdoors. Class meets inside the Nature Center. Register in advance for a discounted rate of $8 per child per class. The drop-in fee is $10 per child per class on the day of the program. Register online or in person at the Costick Center located at 28600 Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills.
