John Mayer

It’s hard to believe that John Mayer, the curly haired crooner who made us believe our bodies were wonderlands (and yes, that he would in fact use his hands) in 2003 would become a staple in the vocabulary of rock’s most influential guitarists. Philanthropist, author, and touring member of the remaining Grateful Dead outfit (yeah, you read that correctly), Mayer has come a long way from attempting to rhyme the words “fathers,” “daughters,” and “mothers.” Released earlier this year, The Search for Everything introduces us to a calm, collected, and bruised (but not battered) Mayer — who after 14 years is still teasing us with baby-making tunes.
