Denk is a very in-demand pianist.For this recital, the recent MacArthur “genius” grant winner will stretch out a bit towards challenging sounds and back again. Haydn, Janácek, Schumann and Mozart will mesh with a bunch of Schubert selections, including “Ländler, D. 366 & D. 790.” Denk is a lively performer, a pop culture-quoting blogger, and a fabulous interpreter.
