After winning the coveted top honor at the Thelonious Monk and Sarah Vaughan jazz vocal competitions, the 26-year-old breakout jazz singer Jazzmeia Horn is a talent ready to take her place alongside the best headlining jazz vocalists of today. A sophisticated study of Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan, and Mary J. Blige, her Grammy-nominated 2017 début A Social Call encompasses her deft approach to artistry and clarity of purpose.
