Iphigenia based on Euripides' Iphigenia in Aulis

The Greek fleet must sail to Troy to reclaim their pride and the lovely Helen. But, they cannot sail. There is no wind. The success of their campaign relies on one girl on her supposed wedding day. Will Iphigenia appease the gods? Will Agamemnon choose family over country? Iphigenia in Aulis is one of the most popular classical plays; inspiring operas, plays, works of art and cinema. This version was written and developed for the Classical Theatre Study in Greece program, and is performed by the student company just back from their summer in Greece. Performances are located in Varner's Studio Theatre.
