Horoscopes (Feb. 24-March 1)

PISCES (Feb. 21-March 20): Not to bring up a sore subject but what about all those years of training? What about everything you’ve invested in this situation so far? The whole idea of investments, and what we do when we’re more concerned with what we have to fall back on than we are with what we have yet to create, has many of you torn between one thing and another. You can’t go back at this point. Instead of wringing your hands over what you think is wasted, trust life enough to know that what you let go of now will get picked up and woven back into the fabric of your life, later on.

ARIES (March 21-April 20): You have let too many important people fall through the cracks. Any bridges that haven’t been burned are still open to reconstruction. You’re in the middle of an experience that is teaching you a lot about what you haven’t given enough to. Don’t let guilt and/or pride keep you from patching things up. Even you are aware that the ones who you’ve cast aside have much to give you, at a time when your spirit is dying for a breath of enlightenment. If apologies are in order, make them and get on with the business of restoring any old connection that gives you life.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20): You have the feeling you should have given this more thought. All of a sudden your life has been thrust into partnerships and cohabitations that contradict your needs for privacy. Waking up to the reality of what happens whenever we involve others in our affairs, will inevitably force you to rearrange the “give and take” in all of your relationships, including the one with yourself. Don’t let close proximity and expectation make you think that you’ve got to care about anything as much as you do about the things that deepen your connection to that which floats your boat.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): No one can figure out how you do it. You are a wizard at knowing exactly what’s going on and can handle more information input than the average human being. Caught up in multiplicity, you’re like a switchboard. As much as this supports your life on many different levels, the one thing you have to watch out for are the ways in which having too much to do erases any possibility of dealing with the mess you’re in now. At a time when some of your heavier duty issues are popping out of the closet, you might want to focus your attention where it counts.

CANCER (June 21-July 20): Patience is a virtue. You’re having a hard time being OK with the way things are. It’s like all of this perfection is too much for you — either that or you weren’t expecting it to look this way. Get a grip on yourself and do your best to lose your high school pictures of what life and love are all about. Times have changed. We’re in a whole new ball game. If you want this to go the way you want it to you’ve got to chill out and act like you know better than to get all wound up about how uncertain things feel. Take your time and let them turn into something even better than this.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 20): You didn’t come here to live a simple or trivial life. This idea has been swimming around in your head long enough for you to be ready for a change. And it looks like you’re right on top of a big one. I can’t tell you how it’s going to turn out, but I can tell you that it’s safe to let yourself go and allow something to transform what has gotten too small. You may not be as sure as you would like to be about going for it. If there are a million reasons for this, I totally understand but it’s time to trade your security trips in for a life that vibrates at a much higher frequency.

VIRGO (Aug. 21-Sept. 20): You can’t be sure how things will come together between now and whatever happens next. If you’re going nuts about the fact that nothing is clear, it’s totally OK not to have a plan. There are also larger forces at work — and it looks like they know more about where you’re going. Once you lose the need to have absolute certainty you’ll notice how much better it feels to let life teach you how to move with it instead of expecting it to move with you. Take a deep breath. Your most recent changes have occurred to give you space and time to connect with yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 21-Oct. 20): Who needs to be the one to take care of this? It may not be you this time. Before you decide to step in and save the day, you need to remind yourself that the reason it keeps being necessary is because you don’t know when to quit. For many of you, other people’s issues and expectations have got too much to say about who you are and what you do. Pull yourself together and start telling anyone who keeps needing too much from you to take care of themselves – or better yet, step out of the picture long enough for them to realize that you aren’t into being a doormat.

SCORPIO (Oct. 21-Nov. 20): You would love it if you could just chill out and relax about this. You are absolutely right in having the sense to stop obsessing over it. Something clicked and you’ve realized that you’ve been making stuff up in your head and convincing yourself that it’s true, and all this nervous tension is your own intensity getting too wound up. A good massage might be in order. Or you can just sit back and feel safe knowing that you’re 100 percent clear that everything works out for the best — and whether others come around or they don’t is of absolutely no consequence to you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20): The pressure to change is coming from within and without; it depends on how willing you are to see yourself. Something in you knows that all of your efforts to get around this won’t get you anywhere until you’re clear that you have nothing to lose. The problem is, you’ve invested everything you have into establishing something that was supposed to yield more than it has. If you’re 100 percent honest you will see that the original plan took a turn and is now either irrelevant or impossible to achieve. Don’t sell yourself short by refusing to read the writing on the wall.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20): You can be such a ball-buster. It’s time to back off and let people figure out how to crack their own whip. All that aside, you’ve got lessons to learn that revolve around getting over all of your control trips. It’s hard to know what to say to you. Instead of lecturing I will tell you that you’ve got to let down the wall of denial that has you thinking you’re the one who’s got it all figured out. A little common sense will tell you, you wouldn’t be involved in this power struggle if you were right about everything. Soften up and open your heart enough to hear people out.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 20): You have issues with someone, and possibly scores to settle that will require you to stay on top of every little thing. On some level I understand why you’re all wound up about this, but it never pays to bring too much pressure to bear on anything. Part of winning involves having the emotional intelligence to read people and make room for whatever it is that they’re hooked on. The difficulty lies in the fact that there’s a fine line between making room for people and losing your ground. A little psychology will pull you through this; in time, the truth will set you free.
