Historic Churches of Detroit

The history of Detroit can be seen through a tour of its early churches and religious locations. This tour combines a selection of historic churches, monuments or markers, with the neighborhoods and people that they serve or served—including: Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Congregational, Jewish, Baptist and Episcopalian. The neighborhoods include: Downtown, Corktown, Southwest Detroit, Cass Corridor/Midtown and Lafayette Park. Due to church hours and tour timing there will be no inside visits of the churches. The ride is approximately 12 miles on city streets in light traffic, with short stops for photos and only two short inclines.
