We now have a trailer for Detroit, the upcoming dramatization of the Motor City's infamous 1967 summer of civil unrest.
Annapurna Pictures released the trailer today, revealing an Aug. 4 release date. The film is directed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) and stars John Krasinski, Anthony Mackie, Will Poulter, Jason Mitchell, and John Boyega.
According to the Free Press, some scenes were shot in Detroit and Hamtramck last year, though most of the film was shot in Boston due to Masachusetts' film incentives program. (Remember when Michigan had a film incentive program?)
