Hear a softer squawk from former Black Crowes guitarist

As you’ve probably heard, last year Rich Robinson made it official that the multiplatinum rock band The Black Crowes (which he and his brother Chris had founded some 20 years earlier) were calling it quits. All good things must come to an end, of course, and the pleasant result is an outpouring of new creativity from the ashes of the Georgia-based neo-retro act. Brother Rich had in fact been releasing solo music for over a decade, so it’s not been much work for him to step into his latest role leading the soulful, bluesy, and smart RRB. Dude even recently released a 7-inch covering the Velvets’ “Oh! Sweet Nuthin.”’
