Hamtramck Transformed

The Rochester-Avon Historical Society will present “Hamtramck Transformed” by Greg Kowalski of the Hamtramck Historical Museum on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 pm at the Rochester Hills Public Library, Multipurpose Room. This program and lecture will explore the rich ethnic history of Hamtramck – an evolving city of immigrants. From its Polish roots to becoming the first city in America to have a Muslim-majority city council, Hamtramck has been called the most diverse city in Michigan. This program is free. Reservations are not required and the public is invited. Complimentary water and cookies provided.
