Sam White has been credited with revolutionizing the way Detroiters experience Shakespeare and this production of Hamlet is the perfect example. Staged outdoors in New Center Park, this play tells the classic tale of a young prince who seeks the counsel of his dead father in order to exact revenge on his venomous uncle (if it sounds like the plot of The Lion King, it is). The play is one of the most popular productions of all time and is considered to be one of the most influential works of world literature.
