A Chicago-based electronic singer, songwriter, and producer with a rolodex of monikers should feel right at home here in techno city. Curtis Jones (AKA Cajmere, Geo Vogt, Half Pint, Curan Stone, Gino Vittori, and this time around Green Velvet) has been at this a while. Inspired by the likes of Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, and Chicago house, this sonic shapeshifter channels the chameleon ways of Bowie, with Green Velvet being one of the most flamboyant and playful of Jones’ incarnations.
