Green fling

With Election Day fast approaching, politics will share center stage with an eclectic mix of local musicians for a Green Party event at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Along with some speechifying by local GP candidates, there will be such bands as the Family, Dahliagrey, Illegal, the Horrorscope, Jeff Maylin, Thik and the Grey Electric. For information about the bands, go to and use our Sonic Metropolis feature. As for the candidates … just pay the damn $7 and go listen for yourself. Things get under way at 6 p.m. For more info, call 248-872-9002.
