There was a time in American history — namely that decade of innocence known as the ’90s — when Gallagher’s presence in the media seemed nothing short of ubiquitous. The comedian known for smashing watermelons with a sledgehammer made 13 one-hour specials for Showtime alone. He’s now 71 years young and is still touring the country. Fans of the prop comic can expect the typical hijinks — and plenty of jokes.
