Who says guitar music is dead? Or that it can’t be literate and tuneful at the same time? We would never say those things, especially with this show tonight. Fred Thomas, the mind behind Michigan indie-pop favorites Saturday Looks Good to Me, is still exploring the furthest reaches of the format and building upon his impressive body of work. Thomas, who recently moved from Michigan to Canada, is about to embark upon a tour of the Midwest and Northeast with the always great Bonny Doon (who are also playing tonight). Maybe they will play together? Shells and Vesuvio Solo open.
