For the Culture (A Celebration of Hip-Hop)

“FOR THE CULTURE” aims to celebrate the five elements of Hip-Hop: DJ, Breaking, Emcee, Graffiti, and Knowledge in Detroit, one of the most influential Hip-Hop cities in the world. The MOTOR CITY STREET DANCE ACADEMY will be hosting a 2v2 Breakin’ Battle with competing BBoy crews from different regions of the Midwest. The best crew takes home $600 cash! Local, dynamic Hip-Hop collective, WE ARE CULTURE CREATORS, will be featuring several emcees including: Jay Squared, Yakuza moon, Kwon, DeMaciiio and others. Special guests MODERN ELEMENT and MAHOGANY JONES will also be performing live.
