Fifth Annual EcoJustice and Activism Conference

Members of the public are invited to join activists, students, and scholars for a series of presentations and panels addressing current social and environmental injustices. “Reclaiming the Commons: Diverse Ways of Being and Knowing” is this year’s theme. We will be especially interested in local issues like water, food, housing and education given the most recent crises in Flint and Detroit. Featured speakers include: Dr. Mary Poole, Dr. Peter Linebaugh, and Dr. Ashley Falzetti. The featured panel, “Reclaiming the Commons in Detroit” will include: Dr. Tom Pedroni, Monica Lewis Patrick, Hanifa Adjuman, Andrew Herscher, and Emily Kutil.
