It's been a quick rise for Giveon, the contemporary R&B singer-songwriter whose been ascending since his collaboration with Drake on 2020's "Chicago Freestyle." It was Giveon's debut EP, last year's Take Time, though, that the Long Beach, Cali. native made his mark – and earned some awards and nominations. Giveon, 26, brought his unique and soulful baritone crooning style, pensive lyrics, and his Rat Pack-adjacent blend of R&B and pop to Detroit's Majestic Theatre, a performance originally booked at El Club but had to be moved because, yeah, Giveon is getting big.
