Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel is such a great concept, and here it’s executed lovingly and smartly by Scott Burland and Frank Schultz, respectively. Their music is meditative but kickass. This show is also notable for the return of ex-Detroiter-via-New York Brovold, who used to lead the prog-band Larval when he lived here. He’s a minimalist rock devotee who was in Rhys Chatham’s group when he first developed “Guitar Trio.”
