Home is where the heart is, and the Tricycle Collective wants nothing more than to share the love and help keep Detroiters in their houses. With food, live music, art, and a mural reveal by Detroit artists Ellen Rutt and Ouizi, this celebration of home with families, friends, and the community at large will be a deeply moving experience. Artists and poets can also participate in the “Do Not Bid” open mic at the event, and share their words about Detroit, and of home. All financial contributions will go to help families bid for their homes in the Wayne County foreclosure auctions.
Starts at 3 p.m.; 4500 Van Dyke St., Detroit; 313-338-9291; thetricyclecollective.com.
